Rely On Horror: Lost Planet 3 What we know so far

Added: 28.07.2013 22:17 | 11 views | 0 comments

Around a year or so ago, Capcom announced the third entry to the super-fun, StarShip Troopers meets Bionic Commando series, Lost Planet. The franchise has dabbled between being a Monster Hunter style game, and a full-blown co-op action fest, borrowing influences from other games like Gears of War 2 and Resident Evil 5. The second games tagline was Kill BIG, inspiring a sort of epic monster safari. However, when Lost Planet 3 was announced, Capcom made it very clear that the third installment had chosen to take inspiration elsewhere, mainly survival horror games- sighting Dead Space as one of them. - See more at: http://www.relyonhorror.com/in-depth/lost-planet-3-what-we-know-so-far/#sthash.npbzTdQS.dpuf

GamesRadar - Lost Planet 3 gives a whole new meaning to hazard pay

GamesRadar - Being a mining engineer can be a dangerous occupation. Most modern-day miners need to worry about equipment failures, falling tools, and the occasional cave in. But on Lost Planet 3's icy world EDN-III, being eaten alive is definitely in the worker contract's disclaimer. Lost Planet 3 puts you in the boots of rig operator Jim Peyton, taking you back long before the previous games--when the series' primary energy source was first being discovered. As the new blood on a frozen mining installation, you're given contracts to do odd jobs like repair equipment, install thermal posts, and collect Akrid (indigenous killer monsters) DNA samples. Of course, vicious monsters and frozen wastes don't make your job a walk in the park.
